How bright are the tritium lamps and how long do they last?
The tritium lamps provide a crisp, green glow that is easily visible in low-light and no-light scenarios. The brightness is self-regulated and consistent. Tritium has a half-life of approximately 12 years, meaning the sights will gradually dim to about half their original brightness after that period, providing many years of dependable service.
Can I install these myself or do I need a gunsmith?
While installation with a sight pusher tool and proper punches is possible for experienced individuals, the steel construction and tight factory tolerances of Glock slides make professional installation highly recommended. Improper installation can damage the sights or your slide. We advise using a certified gunsmith to ensure perfect alignment and zero.
Will these co-witness with my red dot optic?
These are standard-height Glock sights. They will provide a lower 1/3 co-witness in most common micro red dot optic setups (like MOS systems with an adapter plate). For an absolute co-witness, you would need taller suppressor-height sights. For iron-sight-only pistols, these provide the standard factory sight picture.
