Is this a drop-in part for my Polymer80?
In the vast majority of builds, this magazine release is a direct drop-in replacement. However, due to variances in aftermarket frames and tolerances, a minor fitting with a file or sandpaper may occasionally be required for perfectly smooth operation. Always function test after installation.
Will the red finish wear off?
No. The component undergoes a Type III Hardcoat Anodizing process, which electrically bonds the color to the aluminum substrate. This creates an extremely durable, corrosion-resistant finish that is integral to the metal itself, ensuring the vibrant red color remains through extensive use and handling.
Is this magazine release ambidextrous?
Yes. While designed primarily for right-handed shooters to actuate with the thumb of the firing hand, the extended paddle profile also provides a superior surface for left-handed shooters to use their trigger finger for positive magazine ejection, offering improved ambidextrous functionality over the factory part.
